What a Perfect Way to Introduce Your Child to the Water!
Learn to Swim is a six week program for Willowdale’s youngest and most novice swimmers, ages three to six. For older children, private lessons are available, or consider the swim team’s excellent Training Squad program.

Program Description
Children must be potty trained and able to listen and follow directions. The program begins with an introduction to the aquatic environment including water adjustment, bubble blowing, underwater exploration, front and back floats, glides with support, kicking and arm strokes. As the children advance, they’ll be introduced to front crawl stroke, backstroke, back float and front float with support, kicking and alternate arm strokes.
The most advanced swimmers will successfully master fundamental skills: Floating without support and recovering to a vertical position. We may also focus on other skills including glides, front arm motion, back arm motion, flutter kicks and rhythmic breathing.
Schedule
Learn to Swim will meet three days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30am to 12:00pm for six weeks, beginning June 29th. Look for our instructor in the shallow end of the pool, or ask at the reception desk. Parent/guardian must be present during session unless there are prior arrangements.
Fees & Registration
The program fee is $75 per child. Space is limited; class size is capped at 10 swimmers. Last year's program was popular - so early registration is advised. Download a printable
2010 Learn to Swim Registration form and mail it in. The mailing addres is right on the form.
